'Rhapsody of the Seas' debuts in Singapore

'Rhapsody of the Seas'

On 9th Dec 2007, this cruise Rhapsody of the Seas made news in Singapore when they 1st dock here. She is supposed to be docked at Singapore Cruise Centre at Harbourfront, but she is so damn tall, having 11 decks could run into the cable cars there.
So, this uber huge cruise came to Pasir Panjang Terminal then. I had wanted to take a picture of it, cos i really never seen such a big cruise before ! FYI, it is stated in the Channelnewsasia, this is the biggest ship to homeport in Asia.
Most importantly, i m trying to test out my new hp, N82 which boasts 5 megapixels to take photos.
Please bear with the poor phototaking, cos it was drizzling then, and i had already stationed myself far away from the ship in an attempt to take a photo of the whole ship......but it is really too big to capture in a single shot.

your pictures were great. Using a Hp to take night picture usually don't come out good. Furthermore it is far to capture. How much damage was that?

I had read about this giant in town from the papers as well. Think it is time to build a bigger berth to accomodate bigger and more cruise liners liao.

But location is a problem as i thought harbour front is really a good location with vivo there. Passenger can disembark and shop freely without the need to explore unfamiliar land.

Damage is $398 w/ contract. Its under starhub, cheapest promo among all telcos.

Car carriers keep coming in2 Singapore too, but no problem berthing in Pasir Panjang. We even built a huge multi-storey carpark for the cars. We can unload cars from morning till night !

Passenger / cruise ships also keep on coming in. But this vessel is real huge. Ya, i like the use of glass panels too. Think lotsa recreation facilities in it too. Kena some design or what award.
